SCAD offers summer art camps and workshops for younger teens in Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., and a precollege experience for rising high school seniors in Savannah.
SCAD offers Rising Star programs for students interested in exploring art in an academic setting. Pre-college: Rising Star is a five-week residential program for students who have completed their junior year of high school and wish to earn university credit. Participants enjoy full access to SCAD facilities, including classrooms, computer labs, studios, production suites, libraries, galleries, theaters, bookstores and fitness centers. Students live in a SCAD residence hall and have their meals at a SCAD dining facility. Rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors may enroll in SCAD Summer Seminars, a program designed to facilitate students’ exploration of a variety of creative disciplines across the SCAD curriculum. These workshops are available to residential or commuting students and offer opportunities to meet other talented teens from around the world and experience a taste of university life under the guidance of SCAD professors and graduate students.
