It is a time during the twentieth century, there are thirty tanks on the battlefield at this point in time, there is fifteen tanks on both sides. There are planes above causing explosions above and sounds of propellers and gunfire being constantly heard. The tanks begin to move and now the battle on ground has begun, for the next fifteen minutes nothing can be heard but artillery fire, explosions, tank fire, rotating tracts, and motors running. At the end of the battle nothing can be heard from one side, the other side is victorious, but there was no enemy base captured. It was complete destruction and domination of one team over the other, this is the game known as “World of Tanks”. Created first for PC by its developer Wargaming in 2010, later it was added to Xbox 360 in 2014. It is a free to download game on both PC and Xbox 360, on the PC it has a data amount of 4 Gigabytes, on Xbox 360 it was an data amount of almost half of its PC counterpart. Wargaming.Net is a Belarusian Company, which on its PC version has a total of more than 240 armoured vehicles, divided of coarse with their respective origins which are, Japanese, Russian, United States, British, Chinese, Germany, and France. The tanks are also divided into class like “Call of Duty” games, which are the Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, Heavy Tanks, Tank Destroyers (Like Snipers in “Call of Duty”), and Artillery. In the Xbox version there is only the U.S., British, and German tanks, but all different tank set ups, but not as many as the PC version.

“World of Tanks” as told above is developed by Wargaming, but it is not coming to Playstation as far as we know but it may come to Xbox One but as far as we know it is just a maybe. The Xbox 360 was developed by a branch of Wargaming. called Wargaming West studios it was very recently announced when the company announced an Xbox 360 version it was on February 12th, 2014 almost four months ago. The game is uniquely developed because the tanks 3D form is very detailed for every single tank, but the game is also very easy to be able to use and play. But the game does have purchasable content because of course the company only allows the user to own five different tanks but they do allow the user to buy more room for tanks with their special kind of bonus they call premium. Which does give users a 1.5% multiplier for tank XP which lets the user to upgrade their tank and unlock the next tank in line and money which allows users to get and be able to equip the unlocked upgrades and buy the next tank in line. The company also sells special premium tanks of which with the users with gold they buy to gain the ability to skip essentially all the long hours of battles to unlock the next tank and possibly go even further along than just one ahead. Gold only comes with buying it premium and can also be used for purchasing a parking space (room for one more tank) and special camo’s to place on the tank or even special rounds of ammo for one or many tanks. But the tanks all have special little bonuses that come with the tank like one entire series of tanks might be known for speed or even armour and maybe fast reloading.

Let us go in depth with each series of tank for the Xbox 360 version, and the difference between the tank classes. Ok lets start with the first tank class, the light tank this type of tank is purely used for speed, spotting enemies, destroying artillery, support, and flanking but the armour and health tend to be very low on it so it can be easily destroyed but thankfully it does have its next in line tank the medium tank. the medium tank is the medium kind of tank it has more armour and health than the artillery, light tank, and the Tank Destroyers, but not as much health as the heavy tanks the medium tanks are used for flanking, assault, support, and sometimes spotting. Medium tanks have a little bit more use than their next in line heavy tank because the heavy tanks are a little slower than most other tanks. The heavy tanks have the most armour out of most tanks and the most health, and these kinds of tanks are pure assault use they pack a punch to enemies and they can take quite a beating. Now we are on to tank destroyers, these tanks are like the sniper rifle of the battle, their health is close to that of a light tank and a medium tank their armour is the same as well, and it is used for support, flanking, and some spotting. But they can remove any tank from the battlefield with a couple of shots at least, but it depends on which tank destroyer it is, but it does have what we’d call a close relative. Its name, artillery, artillery is one of the more long range type of tank. Its bullets cause extreme amounts of damage depending on which tank it is firing at and which tank is shooting, but artillery is used for pure support, but tends to have a lot less health than light tanks and has least amount of armour than all other tanks. But it is special because it fires in an arc not a straight line so it can fire from one side of the map to the other over a building on a hill but again it depends on what tank it is . Yet it can depend on which of the three series of tanks the user choose, like the american, german, and british tanks chosen, but lets start with the american tanks, basically all American tanks have a lot of speed even the heaviest one of all american tanks can go as fast as a car on a normal speed limit on a road, although some of the tanks can and can’t turn as fast as some other tanks but it does balance because some have firepower and speed. Then there is the german tanks these tend to move at medium pace with medium amounts of armour. But they do have some tanks with equal speed to an american tank but those tanks are light tanks. The german tanks do have some fire power but they are not as strong as most tanks. Then there are the british tanks most of them have a lot of armour on them and they do tend to be very slow on the battlefield but they some what pack a punch on the battlefield as the american tanks and the german tanks, but these kinds of tanks can take a little bit more of a beating then most of the other tanks besides heavy tanks. But users can upgrade their tanks or upgrade to the next tier of tank because the upgrading system works very good in the users favor and keeps the game active and the user can make goals because in order to get a heavy tank, the user must upgrade medium tanks.

In “World of Tanks” there are tiers or levels of a tank but there are only ten total tiers for each tank class, and in order to upgrade a user must battle in the game, because the user will start with only one tank to begin with and use to unlock and choose which class to use and which series of tank to use. After winning or losing a battle the user will gain Silver the money to buy other tanks or upgrades and XP the user will get XP for the tank to only be used for that tank to either unlock upgrades for that tank or to unlock and be able to purchase an upgrade or the next tier in line. But if the users team doesn’t win XP will be low but if the user wins for the first time in a day with any of the tanks he or she has XP will be doubled and silver will be earned the same amount win or loss. But after winning once the double XP goes away until the next day for that tank. But tank upgrades can be anything out of four upgradable options on a tank like upgrading the engine to go faster, or upgrading the gun to cause more damage, or upgrading the track to turn more easily, or upgrading the turret to turn faster and have more turret armour and sometimes upgrade the health points or HP on a tank. But every time someone moves up a tier the amount of XP needed to unlock a tank and its upgrades goes up so does the amount of Silver to buy it. For example to buy a tier four tank a user need around 100,000 Silver, but the XP cost is around 3,000-5,000, but to buy a tier five tank a user would need around 200,000 or above and 10,000-15,000 XP. Yet again to unlock a tier six tank a user would need around 20,000-27,000 XP and of course to buy the tier six a user would need around 300,000 silver or above but it does depend of course which tank it is. But overall this game is a fast paced third/first perspective shooter kind of game I do not know the real name of this game genre but all I know is it is one of the more fun games I have played for the past month.

“World of Tanks” is a very unique game type with real historic items, close to real physics, good graphics and most of all the tanks because thats what makes it the game it is. “World of Tanks” while I got it over a month ago has made me see the fun side of gaming again in the time since I couldn’t see myself stopping from playing for a while it has made me not lose complete interest in gaming in general, it still is a great game. But I recommend getting this game either with Xbox 360 or PC but it does take a long time to download on PC because of course it is four gigabytes or more depending of which if more updates have occurred while the Xbox 360 version is 2.7 gigabytes or more with updates. But no glitches appear to be around for most people who have either version so Wargaming west appears to be doing something right for Xbox 360 version. So remember when the next time someone has the urge to cause explosions, fire from very long distances, and drive a tank around for a little bit just remember there is that game known as “World of Tanks”.
