Sam played by Jeannette McCurdy is an amazing Sam. Sam was on I Carly before Sam and Cat. Sam left Seattle to escape from her mother.

Cat played by Ariana Grande is Amazing when playing Cat. Cat was on Victorious before Sam and Cat. Cat lived with her grandmother Nona in Hollywood. She lived with her grandmother because her parents needed to take her brother to a mental hospital in another country.

They left their characters the same from both shows. Furthermore they only did that because both of those shows got cancelled. The shows got cancelled because Carly played by Miranda Cosgrove went to college and could not manage the show on her busy schedule any longer.
Sam is one who is known to be “tuff”. On the other hand Cat is one who is known to be “not so smart”. But that will have to do I mean they have decided to run a babysitting service.
