When I read “She is Not” by Margaux H., it made me feel empowered and confident in being myself.  It reminded me of how independent I really am and how I don’t need anyone else to define me. This is one of those easily relatable poems that makes you feel good about yourself and leaves you feeling content. I can relate to it because it explains how I’m not just any person you can mess or a “…lovely daisy you spot in a field…” I feel like a lot of girls sometimes feel intimidated by images in a magazine and let people define who they are. This poem helps you realize that you’re not just another pretty face. Marguax helps you realize that you are so much more!  In the second to last line it says, ”She is a woman: she needs no comparison to validate her worth.” I honestly stress enough how true that it is.
