Breaking Night by Liz Murray is a story of what it's like to have a hard life. Her parents were drug addicted and mentally ill. Liz grew up neglected by her parents. Breaking Night is a good book to read if you want to know what it's like to live in poverty and drug use in cities, what it does to children, and how hard it is to change your life. Liz's is a heartbreaking but original story that will stick with you. I liked this book and disliked this book for many reasons. I liked how it was a meaningful true story, and had a lot of emotion. I could feel what she was feeling when she was going through hard times. I didn't like how the story was so long. I also wanted the ending be more descriptive on how she got her life back together. Overall, I thought this book was worth reading if you have a lot of time so sit down and just read.
