Scones and Sensibility by Lindsay Eland

Polly Madassa is the main character. She is in love with the Jane Austen books. She even speaks like the characters in Austen’s books! On purpose of course. Yup her passion and loyalty runs deep for Austen.

Polly is hyper, lively and all around entertaining. Throughout the book Polly schemes a plan intended for good but makes a huge mess and even she is not sure if she can undo what is done.

In the end Polly shows that no matter what mistake you do, whatever your intention, it is never too late to ask for forgiveness, to undo wrong and start again. Ironically, this concept encompasses the theme of many Jane Austen novels.
