In Permanent Rose author Hilary McKay describes life through a young child's eyes. This humorous novel covers everything from New York to London.

The little girl featured in the story, (Rose) is dealing with not being able to see Tom, who now lives in New York City.

She also is trying to figure out who she is, all the while putting up with David, a former bully, now best friend of Rose's brother, Indigo. This amazing story is sure to get you hooked within the first chapter. I couldn't stop reading

I would say this is the kind of book that makes you think about what life is all about. Sometimes it helps to see it from somebody else's eyes. I this book, Rose is figuring everything out through her cute 8-year-old personality. I think you will find that you can relate to her even if you are an adult and already (think) you know who you are.
