Queen’s Own Fool

By
The Queen's Own Fool is a story of murder, betrayal, politics, and undying loyalty. This story follows the downfall of Mary, Queen of Scots, through the eyes of her devoted fool, Nicola Ambruzzi, also known as La Jardinière.

The theme of “loyalty till the end” is found rife throughout the story of Queen's Own Fool, in the faithful fool Nicola's refusal to leave her queen at the mercy of those who would see her dethroned, disgraced, or worse, dead. Even when her true love comes along, Nicola refuses to leave her queen to the wolves.

This book is amazingly well- written, with descriptive prose, and quick- witted conversations, this book is sure to not disappoint any readers in any way. Though Queen Mary can't seem to make any decisions without there being bad consequences for her and her loved ones, Nicola always steps in to make everything better.

I do recommend this book to history lovers or all ages, to the die- hard fans of European monarchs and to those who know nothing about history but are open to learning something about a forgotten queen of a forgotten country and the ones who loved her.
