Stephen King's book, The Dark Half, is a first-class thriller. It's about a man named Thad Beaumont, who's an author. Thad writes best-selling horror novels, much like Stephen King. Strange murders keep happening that have strange similarities to some of Thad's novels. Thad denies knowing anything about these murders, but he knows more than he reveals. When Thad was still unborn, he had a twin. The fetus of his twin was absorbed into Thad's and through development, it became part of his brain. That part was successfully removed and doctors thought Thad was normal. Now Thad's dark side is taking over, and causing him to do things, evil things. Thad is forced to fight himself, so he can clear himself of these crimes.

I thought this book was very interesting and suspenseful. It is a little hard to follow, but if you stick with it, it becomes a lot clearer. I like the book more than the movie because the plot is a little different, and the book explains Thad's childhood better. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes horror stories, or Stephen King
