Broken Decisions

I hate this feeling inside my bones
The loneliness it taunts me
I seek for any sign to be shone
That I will soon be free
Words flow to the paper
Like a weeping river leaks
They disappear as vapor
Then they haunt me in my sleep
Time heals a broken heart they say
An eternity I’ve been waiting
To take a breath and be okay
But my wounds are still gaping
I wish that second chances were real
That I could be forgiven
I’d take my choices and repeal
Then make my life worth livin’
