The sun's rays beat down on my face a final time;

As i walk to my death the rattling of chains is all I hear;

Walking to my death to answer for all of my crimes;

Coming to realize my reality and that there is nothing to fear;

I have lived far less than a full life;

Regret is all I think of in these final moments;

Step by step towards my doom weighted down by strife;

With all of these feelings coming together in components;

Walking up the steps of the gallows with the crowd before me;

Their cries and cheers of my death is all that is heard;

The final seconds of my life are passing finally;

I look up to see my last sight in the world, a flight of a bird;

The coarse rope is wrapped with fear buzzing in my head;

The final seconds of my life passing through me until I'm dead.
