Look up at the ground and ask me
If you remember tomorrow at all
Lay in the clouds and watch the rain pass by
If you’re sure that I’m not coming home
I’ll tell you the secrets you never could tell
And we’ll pick the flowers on our skin
Red of blood; red of love
Until the colors run
The sun’s crashing, so go lay your head down
Never mind that we’re stuck in the sky
I won’t come out from the outside
So just put the outside in
When we wake up tonight
We’ll search for stars in the rubble
But broken glass can twinkle, too
