You can strain your neck looking at the sky until you can no more, only then may you walk among the stars.

Hear the clock pound pound pound.

Time moves forward, oh so fast,

While I sit in a chair and dream of my past;

I remember hiding, waiting to be found,

Of warm summer days and a merry-go-round.

The ambition I had, unbroken or harassed,

The smile love gave when found at long last,

And my new born baby, with her bitter sweet sound.

My life has gone with a blink of the eye.

Once a child sat here who now is full grown.

I do not angry or sad or cry.

For I know that child has not said goodbye.

I sit here, in this chair, when I am alone.

To believe in that child again, yes, I try and I try.
