Favorite Quote:
"Into the garbage chute, flyboy!" -Leia Organa; Star Wars

Everything came out from underneath her,
Her knees buckled, and everything shattered.
Her views of the past turned sad and bitter.
He ran after her; it didn’t matter.
They turned their backs on her, though he didn’t.
She couldn’t stay after going through that.
She was still a child, still so innocent,
This was her whole life, where she’d grown up at.
Now, she chose to leave; wash it all away.
He wanted her to stay, but she couldn’t.
The clouds came as the sun set; a light grey.
He felt pain as she left, though he shouldn’t.
The sun ended the day for the city,
She ended the day with audacity.

This poem is about realizing the truth, losing a friend, and having to realize that you must leave in order to make things better.

(It may have also been inspired by Star Wars: The Clone Wars....)
