Not Farewell

Little bird singing in the tree
Won't you send a message for me?
To a place far from here-
But in my heart is always near.
Someone is moving on-
With new people to rest upon.
Sweet bird so fast and sure-
Your kindness is something so pure.
Take all the time you need-
As long as this letter is seen.
It's my time to move on-
And begin to sing my new song.
I pray that you are well-
My good friend this is not farewell.
