But I was used to finding something deadly in things that attracted me; there was always something deadly lurking in anything I wanted, anything I loved. And if it wasn't there ... I put it there myself. ~ John Knowles

And even though she walks with Him in light
she dances with the devil in the dark

he craved her love, twas blazing strong and bright
his talons dug down deep inside her heart
He ripped and tore and scratched down to the bone
to see what secrets she had locked inside
peering into the chasm stood a throne
there a mysterious boy did reside
His burnt umber eyes dull, porcelain skin cracked
Midnight wings stretching up into the sky
The wreath of angelic flame still intact
Every stroll with Him, this affair defied
An angel of dark who captured her heart
She cloaked in love and would never part

This is a neat poem. Great choice of words.
