The Bully Inside Me

You vivid ghost with lies that impale me
I feed you for I am inferior
I struggle hopelessly with what I see
You take your form in my bathroom mirror
Quick glances around before anyone sees
Flicking hair ties against my wrist in fear
Frustration sets like a hive of mad bees
A shaky voice speaks, my eyes filled with tears
But I won’t let you control me anymore
You do not define my life with your lies
I am done with listening to your lore
I will view myself with different eyes
It may be hard; the road ahead of me
But for happiness, that is one small fee
