Obedient Waves

The ocean swells rise slowly and fall fast;
The sea is a great marvelous wonder.
If only the harsh breaking waves could last;
Why they break so quickly, we must ponder.
Crashing waves set soaring a salty mist,
The icy spray fills the still winter air.
The creeping waves leave the sand water kissed;
Washing away all traces of life that had walked there.
The ocean abyss, dark blue, dancing waves-
Hold secrets only know to the water.
The tides will roll until the end of days,
To understand this, we should not bother.
Blissful sea, till the end of time you'll churn;
Obedient waves, from you we should learn.
