In the valley of the forgotten
Bodies wrapped in painful dreams
Bulging and stretching the sky of cotton
Pulling at unseen seams
A moan, an echo, a cry of pain
Spooks the birds within their jail
Hanging from the poisoned brush
With a snap, a crack within the strain
The tree begins to fail
They fly with glee to find them the bloody truss
