Sandy Hook Elementary School

There are tales that should never be told
Horrors that should never occur
Those Little hearts, that never got to grow old
This tragedy seem but a blur

Open fire rained from the skies
Little hands sought safety
Terror filled their youthful eyes
There were many who fought bravely

On that day many souls depart
The grieving are left behind
We live with blank stares and a hollow heart
The ache of the sorrow can not be defined

The life we knew feels as if its passing us by
Nightmares overcome what once were our dreams
We drown in all the tears that our eyes cry
Our lives have begun to rip at the seams

Sometimes life comes at a heavy cost
sometimes we lose all hope
But take heart, not all is lost
Somehow we'll find a way to cope

If your heart is burdened and your eyes fill with tears
Look to skies and you'll see the light
Heavens bright shining will quiet your fears
Hope for tomorrow will burn ever bright.

We'll see those that we love in angels form
Their wings will take to the sky
The calm will come to end this storm
We'll softly and tenderly say goodbye.
