Against My Better Judgment

I never knew what I wanted,
Until you presented yourself to me.
I would’ve scoffed at you a year ago,
Yet now I love you so desperately.
I’ve given myself every reason in the world
Why I should go on without you,
But together is the only way
I can make it through
And find my real home at last.
My heart beats for you alone.
For I truly love you:
Every inch, every freckle, every bone,
Each smile, each glance, every touch
Leaves me pining for more
