Moonbeams shine
Upon a kingdom of old
A story untold
A world forever mine
Once beautiful and fine
Colors bright and bold
Now faded and cold
Lost in time
Gone from my mind,
Is the world I created
Left behind,
Are words unstated
I've gotten rid of my bind,
But my imagination is not sated

The author's comments:
I wrote this thinking about stories I made in the past, and how attached I was to them. Now they are just a memory of when I was younger and played pretend all the time. To me there is nothing as imaginative as when a little kid makes their own worlds, and actually sees them in their mind.
