Friday night lights

Working to earn my place at the table.
Day in and day out I give it my all
So I will reign over all come next fall
The time has come it is Friday Night Lights
This team has worked and fought and we know that
We will prevail defense is fat and tired.
The clock ticks down and cheers come from the crowd.
The sweet taste of victory is in our mouths.
Running, lifting, working out all summer long
Has paid off, my teammates and parents are proud
I now wonder if I will make the pros.
Will I be tough enough each pound for pound.
