Awakening

Death has awakened me, that's for sure
For, as we've all heard, life is but a dream
From the troubles of life I've found a cure
I've no broken heart or low self esteem
Woken up in the place I was first made
I feel like I am finally at home
With no thoughts of " what was" left to invade
All that's left to do is carelessly roam
But every now and then I'll remember
The fleeting face of a loved one now lost
The memories like a dying ember
Failing in their mission me to defrost
Row, row, row you're boat gently down the stream,
Merrily, merrily life is but a dream

I really liked this. It is so beautiful. What inspired you to write it? If you have the time, will you read and comment on my poem? I want you to know that I didn't comment just to ask that. I only comment on poems/stories that I like, and I just tag that question to the end to see if someone will. I genuinely like your poem. Five stars!
