minds change and emotions are forgotten
left burning at the mercy of the fire
crumble down upon her life, now rotten
come dance with me darling till the flames tire
no more is the air so pure that she breathes
the poisons of life drown all of her sorrow
haunting her thoughts, taking her mind like thieves
come dance with me darling till tomorrow
listen close, for you'll surely hear it now
a broken heart beat, darling take a bow

There is no specific thought or emotion that I hope people will get from reading my poem. All I ask is that you read the words and absorb them. Close your eyes and let the words spread through you. Even if you do not enjoy this poem, I hope that you do not analyze a meaning or try to take every word literally. Just let it be. Read it, feel it, and let it be.
