The path of life with gentle slope does wind
Away from here as far as I can see.
Traversing daily on this road, I find
That two paths now invite and call to me.
The first, so wide, is sloping gently down
And boasts of many trav’lers and much wear.
It lures with promises of wealth and crown
But ends in only night, so do I dare?
The smaller road now steals my eye away,
Though nothing in its looks, at first, appeals.
Its Keeper pledges refuge in the fray,
But pain and sufferings this path congeals.
Yet endless joys await for those who’ve trod
The road marked bloody by the steps of God.
Away from here as far as I can see.
