"You Already Win"

Take these heavy hands of mine and bind them,
Take them; tie them to the wrist of heaven,
Rattle these chains when it’s time to come,
I’m yours; sway me with your graceful ocean,
You planted the seed of me in this dirt,
My soul grows beneath these loving showers,
Each storm my heart blooms more than it hurts,
Pick me from this garden; I’m your flower,
Wicked weeds invade these peaceful roots below,
They hide in earth’s shadows and creep discreetly,
Prowling only the weakest wilted willows,
From underground to choke us silently,
Little do they know the strength of your wind,
The grave is overwhelmed you already win.
