"Everything happens for a reason; usually, it's because somebody screwed up."

Heaven’s fallen angel, dark as the night,
Won’t you tell of your ever-dreadful plight?
Weighted feelings of chaos and despair,
Such a grim burden is too much to bear.

Heaven’s fallen angel, hear our parched cries,
As you descend from those hostile skies.
Forsooth, you desire our salvation,
But can give us nothing past damnation.

Eternally fallen angel, weep not
For soon, you shall have the freedom you sought.
No more hurtful flights, no more wounds or scars,
Just quietly gliding beneath the stars.

Until then, for now, mend your broken wings,
And continue to see what each day brings.

I was really depressed when I wrote this poem. Among all the dark poetry I wrote during that time, this one seems to be the best, in my opinion.
