Heat Wave

Do the drops you grow hurt your peace of mind
Or has it forever tainted your soul?
I feel your pain because I know your kind,
The chapped grooves from which have taken a toll
The brazen arms in which you lay have come
To alter your persona, make you run
Your world will change in a beat of a drum
Causing the mirage to seem a loved one
Blasting rays go through your body quickly
Taking your life using the art of theft
The flares of fire hit humans like a brick
So wandering alone I would not pick.
