The Search

Among the evil and fire red,
Stands a door alone in all the dread.
A glorious light shines through the cracks.
I’ve been searching for the way to pass.

No matter where I search for the key,
I never find the thing. Must I plea?
Tribulations, trials, even tests,
I have endured through this ugly mess.
All the while, God has been screaming
Open your eyes and finally see,
That all along the key was no more.
All it took was to open the door.

This poem is about how people search for the truth and a way to get to Christ in all the wrong places when God is trying to tell them that all they have to do is trust him and the door is always open.
