Farewell to you, my faithful friend.
It’s hard to believe this is truly the end.
But the passing of time will become our eraser
‘Till all that is left has been turned to a blur.
I can't mask my pain- I don’t want to leave
The lack of your presence will make me grieve.
For our memories soon will be lost to me
And never again your sweet smile will I see
Your words and your wisdom that made me stronger
Will not be there for me any longer.
And so my heart pumps not blood, but sorrow
As my thoughts turn to facing tomorrow.
But I’ll keep in mind what I must do-
Look for someone that’s as good as you.

This describes my relationship with my old friends- well, what it was like a few months ago. This is written really beautifully. Keep writing!
