Within the air, a curl of scent,
It smells like freedom in the spring…
Though rain doth come, and hammer down,
My tears are heavier then thee…

Flowers grow strong from natures rain,
But my heart, it shrinks from tears…
What flower, can I nurture,
With my forelorn cries?

So, ask a grey sky, why it rains,
Do not ask me why I cry…
For so obvious is my pain,
To not know means you’re blind…

I need a sunshine to walk my way,
With light footsteps of care…
And a gentle hand to raise my chin,
A kiss of fresh air…

A love as beautiful as ours,
Can also be harmful…
O come to me true lover,
Come softly, quickly, come…
