Remembrance of whats missing on this day.
The laughter makes me think of what was once here.
I look upon the place you'd always lay,
and hate the way I wish that you were near.
The way you greeted me brought me so much glee.
So honored is the day you changed my life.
Your golden fur brought needed love to me.
I miss you, loss it cuts me like a knife.
The holidays bring sadness without you.
No longer fun, the way they used to be.
No longer can I see the things you do.
Now christmas will be different to me.
When death hits one around the holidays,
the mourning feeling doesn't go away.
