The wind carries the smell of pie from aloft a windowsil

Pumpkin, Rhubarb, Apple, Blueberry, Cherry

All are quite merry

Which one's smell is carried on the gentle fall breeze?

The scent of Pumkin tickles my nose as if to tease

I swallow my hunger fpr delicious pie to look at the trees

It was then I noticed the color of the beautiful, falling leaves

I watched as they gracefully floated down from the trees

Like professional dancers swaying in the slow, rhythmic breeze

The Orange, the red, the pink, the brown

Floating, and dancing into the town

I looked around me, the sights, the smells

What's fall's secret?

It will never tell.
