Rain

It felt like rain.

Soaking through our cloathes like blood, staining

It was a cunning way, to kiss me in the rain and act like you meant it because that's how they do it in the hollywood movies baby you said

As the world fell to silence and the picture, white and grey.

Grain

It felt like grain.

Please refrain from telling me we were concrete when we crumbled like sand

The floor crumbled beneath us like broken dreams and ash

The light blew out like candles and turned into shadows

It's easy to spend a lifetime running when you never age

Blame

It felt like a game.

To shift the blame from name to name

Who is the victim and who is to blame?

You, dripping words, spitting abuse, your mouth could not contain?

Or I, who can't understand the difference between  relationship built on concrete and a relationship built on sand?

Pain

I still feel pain, i still remember to feel it, even today

I still remember how to spend a lifetime loving in a world that that falls to silence when asked why the light blows out candles, which rose tinted lovers under cold blankets into shadows, and their picture white and grey

Age

I refuse to act my age if it means to be older is to be wiser and to be wiser is to be blinder

Because the more you know, the less you see

That, love is the not the absense of pain nor an excuse nor for personal gain

Love is a picture in the movies that was never shown to me.

But i feel it, it feels like rain and it feels like grain and it feels like blame and it feels like pain and it just grows with age and it sounds like a name

Which i still hear it, even today
