Favorite Quote:
Scenery is nothing more than poetry.
Love is nothing more than chemicals.
'Cause fairy tales are just scribbled pages filled with happy endings and little white lies.
One person can make a difference, but a crowd can make a change.

"Hey, you got my voicemail.
You know what to do."
Shawty, it's me, I find myself calling you again,
I know you won't answer and I'm not sure if you listen.
But remember when you said things would change?
Yet here we are, it's all still the same.
I sit by my phone and I wait,
Hoping you'll call me sometime late.
Thinking, "She's not ignoring me,
She's just caught up, a little busy."
Then I contemplate how you left,
But I stay hopeful, you leaving I can't accept.
Oh, I'm dialing your number and calling you,
Right now, straight out of the blue.
Let me hear your voice, let me hear you speak,
The silence between us has me so weak.
People say I'm wasting my time,
On a girl who will never be mine.
I had the one chance and I threw it away,
Now I'm suffering from it every day.
Just know, your absence is leaving me frail,
So call me back, Shawty, when you get this voicemail...
Hey girl, I'm calling just to see where you're at,
I'm just wondering, will you ever come back?
Are you thinking about me, am I haunting your head?
Please stop fearing the words I previously said.
See, I got this problem of caring a little too much,
Every hug you gave me has me yearning for your touch.
I was told give it some time, she'll come around,
But that can't be true if her head is always down.
We all make mistakes, and mine was not waiting that extra day,
I had you in my grasp but somehow you got away.
Ring, ring, pick up your phone,
It's killing me that you decide to be alone.
I hate the fact all I get is a dial tone,
Are you okay on your own?
Well, I miss you because now I've been shown,
What it's like to be a soul unknown.
So I'll make one last call to fix the chance I have blown,
Maybe then, you'll return back home...

The author's comments:

Ever care about an individual so much that you just want to talk to them constantly, and prove to them you'll always be here? No matter how many texts you send, you don't get a reply? Call mutiple times a day, leaving a voicemail every time, but still no answer? Not even a return-call. This song is special to me because I have just that problem. Maybe I'm foolish, maybe I'm young and stupid. However, I was always told that you never give up. Not ever. So, I'll continue to make those phone calls. Send those texts. Everyday until you decide to answer me. Because I want you to know I won't leave you alone like everyone else.
