Four words in and I'm out the door,
forget everything I've said before
you say that the world is crumbling
well darling I refuse to hear it

Tell me with the signs unspoken

how I can live when I am broken

How birds they call, when I'm gone
yet there I stand to listen to their song

Because in the end
no one knows
everything I've heard and wrote in the snow
but still I live
in the world fantasy
don't tell me,
don't tell me...

Show me with the light and fire
how we burn with no lighter
you hold it tightly in your hands
but fall apart when I take a stand

the brave hearts
they wash apart
the words I speak
they grow wings
and if it is right as much as it is wrong
let all things fold until they're gone
and together
yes, together
we'll see what we haven't before
but only if you follow me through the door.

I wrote this on a surge of inspiration, there are no edits or any changes that were made to the original piece. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Thank you, and I'm sure you could write a great poem if you set your heart on it!
