I know a girl she looks a little like me

but she wears her hair up

a touch of lipstick on her cheeks

She kisses boys just to prove she can be

wanted by someone

I know a man who smiles with his teeth

He stands taller than everyone just to be seen

He must think if he looks bigger than everyone else

He'll make up for the smallness inside of himself

And we'll all die trying to figure it out

I know a girl who likes kissing girls

Maybe we'd hold hands in an different world

She says, "Why should it matter if they grow

whiskers or not?

When someone brings you to life, give them

all that you got"

I know a boy who is always alone

He doesn't say much about where he's from

But when they cut down a tree, he was spitting words

like a spout

Even when they all told him

there was no reason to shout

And we'll all die trying to figure it out

I know a woman who works at a bank

Counting money all day doesn't make you a saint

But at night she goes home to her brushes and paint

To let art lift her up and away from this place

I know a lady the size of the moon

We all know she's expecting, and it better come soon

She says she'll smoke a cigar when the baby is out

But bringing new life, that's what this whole thing's about

And we'll all die trying to figure it out

Yeah we'll all die trying to figure it out
