- FOUR, DIVERGENT

The shiny, new ornaments all given to me,
Climbing up the mountain like tree.
Ribbons and bows are wrapped around the wreath,
While grandma puts on her fake teeth.

Mistletoe hangs above me,
Luckily I get time to flee.
Mouths stuffed with candy canes,
I’m sure their parents will soon need chains.

Lights never flicker,
Parents all hit the liquor,
Snow angels flying high,
Ringing bells well above the sky.

Red and white all around,
Even though Santa hasn’t hit the ground.
Warm hugs for everyone,
Making Oloaf wish he missed none.

Frosty has no reason to melt,
For there is no way he’ll ever sweat.
Snow sticks to the ground like wet clothes,
Flurries trickle down and everyone knows.

The holy night seems serene,
It’s dim beauty is enchanting under the candlelight.
The tiny Santa village lights up with the star,
When dad picks up his guitar,

Lights never flicker,
Parents all hit the liquor,
Snow angels flying high,
Ringing bells well above the sky.

Red and white all around,
Even though Santa hasn’t hit the ground.
Warm hugs for everyone,
Making Oloaf wish he missed none.

This morning when I tear the wrapper,
What I got didn’t matter.
She came and that’s all that counts,
I didn’t care for any other wants.

Lights never flicker,
Parents all hit the liquor,
Snow angels flying high,
Ringing bells well above the sky.

Red and white all around,
Even though Santa hasn’t hit the ground.
Warm hugs for everyone,
Making Oloaf wish he missed none.
