Rewind

I write your name in the bright lights,
Cause you know you're the highlight,
Of my world.

?You touched my skin for the first time,
And I just had to rewind,
To feel it again.

Baby, believe me,
When I say that 'I love you'.
And I'll believe it,
If you say you love me too.

I write your name in the bright lights,
Cause you know you're the highlight,
Of my world.

?I took a step next to you,
To see if you were real.
You bumped into me that day,
And I was so scared that I ran away.

I write your name in the bright lights,
Cause you're the highlight,
Of my world.

I named a star after you today,
Don't you worry it wasn't that much to pay,
Cause no matter what,
You cost more than a thousand dollars.
And my love for you is out of this universe.

So let me rewind the time,
Let's ?start over again.

I write your name in the bright lights,
Cause you know you're the highlight,
Of my world.

You touched my skin for the very first time,
Oh, I wanna rewind.

I wrote this song because I was with this guy for almost a year and a half. Recently, he passed away from inoperable brain tumor. It's about a girl who fell in love and when things end, she misses him that she remembers everything that happened when they're together. When it says "I write your name in the bright lights" Its talking about his passing, as well as "I named a star after you today." When she says it wasn't that much to pay, it means that he already has her heart, so the price wasn't high. If that makes any sense... Her love for him is out of the universe, meaning her love travels to him. Basically remincing the time they spent together.
