In this house
I sit alone
Can no one, see me?

I often sleep, on the ground
I lay to listen, for a sound
Do you speak, the truth?

A light, to ignite
This house
Where I, sit invisible

Let it all, be burned
Like I have, been spurned
Do you know, who I am?

Is this home?
Am I alone?
You can see me

This place, is not, a home
I would rather, have a class, of my own!
Can you, take me, home tonight?

Give me, what I, long for
Irreplaceable love given, so I am, not ever alone!
Will you, fight on, for me?

Home is, our spot, forever on
Imagine the colors, of the stars, how brightly shone!
Do you, know I, love you?

This is, the time, for us
I do now, I do forever, love our home!
Can you, truly be, mine now?

Stay by, my side, in bed
I may not, wake up then, remain a stone!
Where will, we meet, after life?

Did I say ,thank you, for rescuing me?
Did I show, you where, the matches lay?
This smile, is for you

Love me today
Love me forever
Can it stay this way?

“Yes.”

The author's comments:

This about my personal life, how I feel my house isnt a home and what a home should feel like. I do have somone who cares for me, as stated in the poem, this is what my emotions and thoughts do on a day to day cycle.
