Waltzing

Waltzing in spirit,
Praying they won't hear it:
When my heart shimmers

Gliding on this floor,
My emotional high soared,
Your eyes glimmered

I'm holding on fast,
To the memories that will last,
When my world is dimmer

Around your crown I twirled,
With ever step, circle and whirl,
I can catch sight

The pace rolls faster,
This dance I will master,
With such might

Your hand at waist,
Our heavens will taste,
The indigo of this night

Bless the forgotten,
Those shooting stars when I caught them,
When you let them stay

Here I awaited,
You were belated,
And now my stars are gray

(note to editor: I realize the word belated is an adjective. I just felt it fit the piece better and I think there should be other definitions added to the word so I broke the rules.)
