Iridium

The Memories,
Shroud me, inconsistently
Time is slow,
I’m dying inside,
Battered and bruised,
I’m lost and confused,
Living in a warzone,

This world is heartless, this world is so cold
Must make a million before you get too old.
If you don’t own everything they say you should
You’re not worth knowing. Always be misunderstood.

Society has closed the door on every open mind,
It’s captured all the innocence and lost its reason to be kind,
Iridium,
We could wait forever, for bad to become good,
We could wait forever to be heard, listen to understood.
It’s like we’re living in Iridium.

In the dust,
What’s left of us?
We’re in darkness,
From above,
care to forget
Time has caused decay
And I'm standing here dismayed
At the one thing that I've never done.

What happened to the morals,
In this more or less world?
Don’t know if I’m strong enough to face the world alone,
Don’t know how I’d cope without the place I call home…

This world is heartless, this world is so cold
Must make a million before you get too old.
If you don’t own everything they say you should
You’re not worth knowing. Always be misunderstood.

Society has closed the door on every open mind,
It’s captured all the innocence and lost its reason to be kind,
Iridium,
We could wait forever, for bad to become good,
We could wait forever to be heard, listen to understood.
It’s like we’re living in……
Iridium…
