Verse1:
It was a warm house, with no love
A cold heart, with no love to give
There was a family, with no foundation
A nice place to live

chorus:
But when he, came home, there was warmth, in this home
She did smile, those pearly whites, did show (they showed)
And they loved, again (again)

Verse2:
It was a hard life, a cold room
Nice stuff she, much window shoppin'
With no money, in those pockets
She hadnothin' to call her own

Chorus:
But when he, came home, there was warmth, in this home
She did smile, those pearly whites, did show (they showed)
And they loved, again (again)

Verse3:
It was a big bridge, a fast car
An those wheels sure did roll
That bottle talked
And she listened, again (again)

Bridge:
But when he, came home, she wasnt there
Now he was alone
In that big house, that nice house
With no warmth, and no love
