Favorite Quote:
Scenery is nothing more than poetry.
Love is nothing more than chemicals.
'Cause fairy tales are just scribbled pages filled with happy endings and little white lies.
One person can make a difference, but a crowd can make a change.

Fill me up with apathy,
It's eating me alive, come on.
I'll disappear from the sunlight's view,
And become the shadow that gets closer to you.
I feel a sharp pain attacking at my heart,
Why does he get to be the one that makes you smile?
I could be wrong, but I don't find it quite fair,
He sees you everyday but never compliments your hair.
I can smell the shampoo that you used from across the room,
It leads my feet right towards you.
My brain says stop but my heart screams go,
Oh, what the heck, I'll follow with the flow.
Come on girl, I'll take you somewhere fun,
A place where we can let our inner kid out.
The answer is on the tip of your tongue,
Let's return to the days when we were young.
Back to memories of being eight,
Where girls chased boys on the playground.
Boys thought girls were gross,
And they hid away at the top of the slide.
Grip my hand and I'll take you back,
To those glamorous days when we didn't care.
I see you eyeing that swing so carefully,
Let go for a short time girl, come play with me.
Tear me down like an old, delicate tree,
Replace me with a new sapling.
The knowledge you long for will not lead you to success,
Instead, give me the chance to regrow and I'll bring back the laughing times at recess.
My lungs collapse violently,
As he steals your breath away.
I know a few card tricks that will impress,
I'm not a magician, but when you say my name I'm at my best.
I glance at the lip gloss painted across your lips,
My tongue starts to dance as it stretches for a taste.
My mouth declares pleasure but my mind yells pain,
Oh, I got nothing left to lose and everything to gain.
Come on girl, I'll take you somewhere fun,
A place where we can let our inner kid out.

Come play with me, girl,
I can see it in your eyes.
You be the queen of swings,
And I'll be the king of slides.
We can unite our royalty,
And together, own the playground.
Come play with me girl, (Play with me)
I can see it in your eyes.
You be the queen of swings, (Queen)
I'll be the king of slides.
We can unite our royalty, (Unite)
And together, own the playground. (Together)

Don't hesitate, don't even think,
Just say you'll come play with me...

Ever wonder what your teenage life would be like if it simply reverted back to you being eight, assuming love was gross, snack time came back, and you had recess every day? I do! This song is meant to explain just that. A teenager facing a simple issue with a girl who he just wants to be with and have a kid-fun relationship. I hope you enjoy!
