Oh dear Friend of mine
You are one of a kind
You’re unique, smart and oh so sweet
Surely, you’re the angel on top of the Christmas tree
The light that shines with in you
Is brighten enough to illuminate a room
Of course, anyone who’s as loud as you
Can revive a person from their impending doom
However
I digress
Oh, my friend!
Oh Strange friend of mine
You really are one of a kind
Although we are opposites
We got along real, real fine
Until one of us crosses the line
And you crossed mine way too many times
To the point you made cry
And made it seem like I lied
But, wait
I digress
My dear friend
Oh.
Friend that was once mine
I admit, you’re one of a kind
With your borrowed ideas
And petty fashion
Stolen from the back of popularity bandwagon
Your temper, impatience and lack of concern
For things that you can’t even discern
Or even comprehend
Why are we friends?
Yet again
I digress
Oh
My
Friend
Did you even try to understand?
Did you even care that I was hurting?
Did you see what you meant to me?
But, I guess you didn’t dear friend
That’s why I’ll continue to keep living
Without
My Dear Friend
It would be nice to hear from you again
Although you are strange in many ways
But who isn’t in this world today
I’m angry, but I’ll speak the truth
Even though I picture you beaten up bruised
Despite every negative word I say
I’m wondering if you’re okay
And yet
I don’t digress
My Old Friend.
