"When you're young, you can fly, but we trip on clouds 'cause we get too high" -The Band Perry (Song: Don't Let Me Be Lonely)
"Cause no matter what, you'll never be alone" -Lady Antebellum (Song: Compass)

(Verse One)
Standing here in this world today
So alone, so afraid
I still don’t know why you went away
You were the rock I built my life around
But now you've betrayed me and left me weak
So weak, I can barely make a sound

(Chorus)
All alone, all alone
I’m about to go insane
All the years of commitment
Gone down the drain, down the drain
Why did you abandon me
And suddenly take a different turn
The only thing I have left to do is
Watch our love burn, oh watch it burn

(Verse Two)
I sit here, weeping in pain
All the years of love and trust
Torn down like a fence in a hurricane
Why did it have to end this way?
I feel so worthless and pathetic
Because I’m isolated from you today

(Chorus)
All alone, all alone
I’m about to go insane
All the years of commitment
Gone down the drain, down the drain
Why did you abandon me
And suddenly take a different turn
The only thing I have left to do is
Watch our love burn, oh watch it burn

(Bridge)
It’s time to stop silently hiding
Amongst the darkened shadows
And instead, start igniting
The flames to all our memories
This way, I’ll know I've moved on
And I’ll be able to finally once again live free

(Chorus)
All alone, all alone
I’m about to go insane
All the years of commitment
Gone down the drain, down the drain
Why did you abandon me
And suddenly take a different turn
The only thing I have left to do is
Watch our love burn, oh watch it burn

Thanks. Some of them I write music to. Just little tunes in my head. I don't know how to play guitar, piano, or any main instruments behind a song so it's kinda hard lol.

"I can do anything!"

You write really good songs! Do you have music for them?

Good choice of words and title. Even when the person we love have dropped us like a ton of bricks, we still want that person.

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift; that's why they call it the present"

captivating lyrics if put in a nice tune, but have you tuned and tried singing it yet? Lyrics work out well only if the music sounds well. Otherwise, i think it is good enough, though not excellent, pretty ordinary like every other lyrics, but with a powerful message. You could polish it a bit more. 3/5!

I really like this! You have a strong message
