What Goodbye Looks Like

There's few problems you can fix
And the rest you gotta kick
It's what's best for you
And there's some situations where you should stay and try to work it out
But sometimes you gotta walk away
It's the best for now
And when you're driving away tryna figure it out
With tears in your eyes
Wonderin' how love came crashing down
You should know that's what goodbye looks like
I hate to tell you that's what goodbye looks like

Chorus:
A rainy day under a cloudy sky
A single tear falling from my eye
When I got in the car and drove away
I promised him I'd be back someday
And we both knew I was lyin'
But there's no point in even tryin'
So I'll sit beneath the moon tonight
With nothin' but the memories by my side
And as much as I hate that idea
I guess that's what goodbye looks like

I know it's hard to live without him
At one time he was all you had
But there comes a time for movin' on
You gotta leave him in the past
It's too late now for turning back
I know it's hard to accept
Sometimes things just go wrong
Sometimes people don't get along
And you can't help but ask yourself
How'd it happen so fast
It ended just like that
And I ain't sure but that just might
That just might be what goodbye looks like

A rainy day under a cloudy sky
A single tear falling from my eye
When I got in the car and drove away
I promised him I'd be back someday
And we both knew I was lyin'
But there's no point in even tryin'
So I'll sit beneath the moon tonight
With nothin' but the memories by my side
And as much as I hate that idea
I guess that's what goodbye looks like

Bridge:
Lord, please help me leave my past
It's just so hard to tell what I'm lookin' at
Somethin' I haven't accepted
But I know it has to happen
No matter how hard I try
As much as I wish I could deny
I'm lookin' at goodbye
I'm lookin' at goodbye

A rainy day under a cloudy sky
A single tear falling from my eye
That's what goodbye looks like
