"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is you-er than you" ~ Dr. Seuss

See my dreams
They’re sent from me
I’ve laid them out to bask in the sun

The waves from the ocean
Are calling me over
But I haven’t noted where I’m going yet

The thoughts that I’ve thought
Are the thoughts I’ve forgot
So next time will you please write them down

I sit in the fields
Where the animals chill
And I lay my bare arms out for the taking

If life is a comedy, and death is a mystery
Then my label, has no title yet, no title yet.

The glass from the window is
All I can see through
Will someone please unlock this aging cell

The keys dangle loosely
From the only place that I can see
If you reach for them I’ll point you to the door

Its over there, its over there
For you, its just over there

If life is a comedy, and death is a mystery
Then my label, has no title yet, no title yet.

The wings to escape me
Are the wings that will break me
But the sky is too far to reach alone

The puppeteers playing
Their puppets aren’t aging
Are there really no rules for us to play by

If you try to see clearly
You’ll sink faster surely
I’ve figured out this road has many exits

I’m singing my poetry
I’m typing my melodies
‘Cause the sun is now dancing with the night

If life is a comedy, and death is a mystery
Then my label, has no title yet, no title yet.

The pressure to be free
Is wearing down on me
‘Cause I’ve never understood that word

Life by the highway is
Hard to go my way
My lights are bright but my turn signal’s broken

If life is a comedy, and death is a mystery
Then my label, has no title yet, no title yet
Then my label, my label, my label
No title yet
No title yet

My label, no title yet

In memory of Jack and Connor, who died a year and a half ago on the Oregon coast from a sneaker wave.
