Favorite Quote:
They don't know that they don't know enough to know anything.

(verse 1: Girl)
No one out here can understand.
It's like we're footprints in the sand
Being washed away by a wave.
I'm so tired of being brave.
We were a rose in a drought;
Something no one could figure out.
Still we put joy on someones face.
Now we're gone without a trace.

(Chorus 1)
You'd always make me feel
So strong.
I havent felt this weak for so long.
And I know justice
Won't reside,
As long as they have money on their side.
I'm so afraid
To fail
But how can we rightly prevail?
I know that people say
"Just believe."
But do they even know what that means?

(verse 2: Guy)
We're flowers in a grove
We need a little rain to help us grow.
But we must watch the quantities we crave.
I'm asking you to be brave.
The years are silver snowflakes.
No two will ever be the same.
Yet after all, I've no regrets
These past snowflake have been my best.

(Chorus 2)
I need you
To be strong.
This weakness won't last long.
And I know justice
will reside
As long as we have God on our side.
I promise you,
We won't fail
And that we rightly will prevail.
I know that people say
"Just believe".
I hope you now know what that means.

(Bridge)
Girl: I can hardly breathe!
Guy: The slightest bit of hope will do.
Girl: Dark shadows comin' after me!
Guy: If you don't believe in me I can't believe in you.
Girl: Why is it so hard
Guy: Let out your emotions and your cries
Girl: To find peace in my heart?
Guy: And soar higher than the sky!

BOTH: Take my hand.
Are we still footprints in the sand?

(Chorus 3: Girl)
I'm beggining to feel
strong.
I hope that this weakness is finally gone.
And I know justice
Will reside
As long as we have God on our side.
I know for sure
We won't fail,
And that we rightly will prevail.
I know that people say
"Just believe",
At least I now know what that means.

BOTH: We're no longer footprints in the sand.

The author's comments:
This song is based on many true stories about a person who has been framed and the opponent is winning mearly because they have more money. The "Guy" is the victim of this injustice. The lyrics are the "Guy" and his girlfriend exchanging letters as he is stuck in prison while she battles for him on the outside
